Having previously lectured in accounting, taxation and finance, he went on to hold senior roles with a number of national firms and Big 4 accountancy practices.During his career, Chris also served as an International Tax Specialist and Deputy Head of Tax for a fintech company, before returning to professional practice, later co-founding CBTax with Stephen.

A Fellow Certified Chartered Accountant, Chris has been instrumental in advancing the firm's Tax Resolutions service, delivering outstanding results by guiding clients through complex HMRC compliance and dispute processes. His strategic leadership has underpinned the rapid expansion of the company and the team's ongoing success, leading to his promotion to Managing Director in 2025. Chris continues to champion innovation, client excellence and sustainable growth across the business.

Dainis is a Technical Director at CBTax, specialising in the technical assessment, governance and delivery of complex R&D tax relief claims. Max Vignola is the US Head of Tax at CBTax, where he leads the growth of the firm’s U.S. tax practice across R&D tax credits, cost segregation, and energy incentives.
With over 17 years of experience and involvement in more than 2,000 engagements, he has supported clients across construction, real estate, manufacturing, and technology. Max began his career at PwC and later helped develop an R&D tax credit practice at Bedford Cost Segregation, before focusing on CPA partnerships and business development at Source Advisors.

Sameer is an Electrical Engineer with a multidisciplinary background spanning automation, data centres, substations and highly regulated pharmaceutical environments. He supported the delivery of a large-scale international automation programme across 200+ locations and has worked with a leading M&E contractor on complex projects within civil engineering and construction.

After graduating University with a first-class degree in accounting and finance, Stephen went to work for a business school supporting post graduate students in taxation and accountancy subjects. Stephen then moved to a mid-tier accountancy firm working for their tax and VAT offering’s followed by a Regional VAT Senior Manager role for a national firm of accountants before co-founding CBTax with Chris.

Todd is a licensed Enrolled Agent with 25+ years of experience in §174, R&D tax credits, and innovation incentives. He has held leadership roles at Big Four and global advisory firms, advising companies on maximizing tax benefits tied to technological development. Todd is known for his practical approach and has extensive experience working with taxing authorities to resolve audits with minimal to no adjustments. He has also taught courses on Research Credits and §174 nationwide. At CBTax, he leads U.S. growth and supports innovative businesses by bringing a high standard of service and expertise to the market.
