Following our recent promotion announcements, we wanted to shine a spotlight on Aliyah and Alex’s career journeys at CBTax and learn more about what excites them most as they step into their new roles as Assistant Managers.
Aliyah has built extensive experience within the firm, developing a strong specialism in costings and financial analysis. Reflecting on her progression, she shared:
“My role centres on analysing expenditure, building robust financial analyses and ensuring claims are accurate and well-supported.
“I particularly enjoy the detailed nature of the work and the challenge of turning complex financial data into clear, defensible outputs for clients. Reviewing work and supporting junior team members has also become a rewarding part of my progression.
“A core aspect I value is seeing how strong financials underpin successful claims and deliver real value to clients. Looking ahead, I’m excited to further develop my expertise, take on more complex claims and contribute to improving processes and consistency as the firm continues to grow.”
Alex also reflected on his journey at CBTax, from joining as an R&D Associate to now progressing into an Assistant Manager position:
“One of the most rewarding aspects of the role has been the opportunity to work across a huge range of industries, from advanced engineering and manufacturing to software, pharmaceuticals and chemical processes.
“I particularly enjoy engaging directly with technical teams to understand the scientific and technological barriers behind their developments, then translating that into detailed technical narratives aligned with HMRC guidance.
“What excites me most about the future is continuing to develop technically and professionally while helping grow the wider team and supporting increasingly complex and innovative projects.”
It’s fantastic to see both Aliyah and Alex continuing to develop their expertise, embrace new responsibilities and play an important role in supporting both our clients and colleagues.
